Arena
Arena is just a television documentary series, made and broadcast by the BBC. Founded by top TV executives at Broadcast together among the top 50 most influential programmes of time, it's run as 1 October 1975 with over 500 episodes made, directed at the likes of Martin Scorsese, Alan Yentob, Roly Keating, Frederick Baker, Volker Schlondorff and Vikram Jayanti. Arena's subjects really are a roll-call of the planet's best known cultural figures from the 20th and 21st centuries, from leaders Bob Dylan and also Amy Winehouse to academics Edward Said and Eric Hobsbawm, from authors Jean Genet and also V S Naipaul to artists Francis Bacon and Louise Bourgeois.
