Meteor

After a collision with a comet, a not quite 8km wide part of this asteroid"Orpheus" is going towards Earth. A extraordinary catastrophe which will extinguish mankind will be caused by it, When it is going to hit. To block the meteor NASA wants to utilize the illegal atomic weapon satellite"Hercules" but discovers so on it will not have enough firepower. Their only opportunity to save the world is to combine forces with all the USSR who've also launched such an illegal satellite. However, will governments agree?
