Brooklyn Castle
Brooklyn Castle is a documentary concerning I.S. 318 -- a inner-city school at which more than 65 percent of students are from homes with incomes below the federal poverty level -- that also happens to get the best, most rewarding junior senior high school chess team in the nation. Chess has altered the school from a cited in 2003 as a"school in need of improvement" to a of nyc's best. But a collection of recession-driven community school budget cuts threaten to undermine people successes.
