Wild Palms
Wild Palms is a five-hour miniseries produced by Greengrass Productions that premiered on the ABC network in the United States in May 1993. The sci-fi drama, billed as a "event series," explores the perils of politically motivated abuse of mass media technologies, particularly virtual realities. It was based on a Bruce Wagner and Julian Allen comic strip that initially appeared in Details magazine in 1990. Wagner, who also authored the screenplay, served as executive producer alongside Oliver Stone. James Belushi, Dana Delany, Robert Loggia, Kim Cattrall, and Angie Dickinson feature in the show. The episodes were directed by Kathryn Bigelow, Keith Gordon, Peter Hewitt, and Phil Joanou.
