Tientsin Mystic
In the early 1900s, floods and drowning were typical occurrences in Tianjin (Tientsin). However, when a local shipping magnate was discovered drowned to death chained to a statue on the riverbed, the police department's underwater recovery team captain Guo De You was the prime suspect since he was the only person in the city who could stay underwater long enough to execute the deed. Ding Mao, the businessman's son, attempted to prove Guo's guilt, but his own forensic discovery and another strange drowning in the same area called his first view into question. They unraveled the mystery with the help of spirit medium Gu Ying and news reporter Xiao Lan Lan, and discovered that the clues referred to an occurrence that occurred over 20 years ago when an evil cult was devastating the city. The cult was once again wreaking mayhem. To put a halt to their comeback, the team must look into the mysterious, mind-bending cases that have plagued their community.
