Thomas & Friends

Friends & thomas is a children's television series, which had its original broadcast on the ITV network on 4. It's based on The Railway Collection of books by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry along with also his son. These books deal with the experiences of a group of locomotives that are anthropomorphised and road vehicles who live on the Island of Sodor. The books were predicated on reports Wilbert told to amuse his son, Christopher during his comeback from measles. From Series one to four, many of the stories derive from events out of the individual experience of Awdry.
