The League of Gentlemen
The League of Gentlemen is a British comedy television show that premiered on BBC 2 in 1999. The series is located in Royston Vasey, a town in Northern England. It follows the lives of lots of eccentric townspeople, many of whom are played by three of those series's four authors --Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, and Reece Shearsmith--who, combined with Jeremy Dyson, formed the League of Gentlemen comedy troupe at 1995. The show originally aired for three series in 1999 until 2002. A three-part revival mini-series was broadcast to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group.
