The Games was an mockumentary Tv Show on the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The show was broadcast on the ABC and also had 2 seasons of 13 episodes every day, first in 1998 and the second in 2000. 'The Games' Star Red John Clarke and Bryan Dawe and Australian comedian Gina Riley and celebrity Nicholas Bell. It had been written by John Clarke and Ross Stevenson. The show centred to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and also satirised corruption and cronyism at the Olympic movement ineptness from the New South Wales public company, and unethical behaviour within politics and the press. An unusual feature of the show was the characters shared the identical name since the actors who played , to enhance the illusion of a documentary on the Sydney Games.
