Tatau

Tatau follows Budgie and Kyle, two twenty-something friends from London that place off to visit the world. Kyle gets a tattoo to observe their ultimate destination: the Cook Islands. When snorkeling into a lagoon, Kyle discovers the body of a local girl, Aumea, tied underwater up. Returning to the lagoon with the police, Kyle discovers her corpse has disappeared. However Kyle knows what he watched. Struggling to uncover exactly what happened, Kyle and Budgie find themselves sucked deeper and deeper into a world of Maori myths, symbols, and hallucinatory visions... until finally the complete meaning of Kyle's tattoo has been disclosed.
