Suspense
Suspense is a American television anthology show that ran on CBS Television from 1949. This was adapted from the air program of the identical name which ran from 1942. Like most television programs that were ancient, the show was aired live from new york. This was sponsored by the corporation, and sponsor Rex Marshall, that encouraged Auto-Lite spark plugs, car batteries, tractors, along with other automobile parts introduced each incident.
Some of the ancient scripts were adapted from Suspense radio broadcasts, while others were first original for television. By renowned writers broadcasts were adaptations of classics Much like the air program. Classic authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Agatha Christie, and Charles Dickens had stories accommodated for its series, while contemporary authors such as Roald Dahl and Gore Vidal contributed. Many celebrities seemed on the program, including Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Franchot Tone, Robert Emhardt, Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bridges, and also many more.
The program proved to be a live television series, but most episodes were listed about kinescope. Today, however, only about 90 of those 260 episodes survive.
