Splash!
Splash! Is a reality television series that follows actors as they make an effort to master the craft of diving. The stars play each week facing a board of judges and a live audience in an diving pool with an result per week partially based on vote. Vernon Kay and gabby Logan present the series, whilst Team GB Olympic Bronze Medal winning director Tom Daley is your expert mentor to the stars. It is filmed in the Inspire: Luton Sports Village, that can be based in Stopsley, Luton. The series premiered on ITV on Saturday 5 January 2013 winning the ratings battle because of its 7.15pm-8.15pm slot using an average audience of 5.6 million viewers, a system talk of 23.6%.
Splash was the highest rating entertainment show on ITV for five decades.
The structure for the series Comes from the Celebrity Splash! Franchise created by television production company Eyeworks from holland, and was broadcast as Sterren Springen Op Zaterdag on SBS 6. A US variant, beneath the name Splash, premiered on 19 March 2013 from Pasadena's Rose Bowl Aquatics Center on ABC television and the Riverside Aquatics Complex at Riverside City College. The US version includes American legend Greg Louganis as judges and 2012 Olympic 10 m diving champion David Boudia. Celebrity Splash has been also commissioned by the Seven Network in Australia! That can broadcast in 2013.
