Spawn
Spawn, an animated television series created by Todd McFarlane, broadcast on HBO from 1997 to 1999. It is also available on DVD as a film series. It is based on Image Comics' Spawn comic series and was nominated for and won an Emmy in 1999 for Outstanding Animation Program. Spawn: The Animation, an unconnected series, has been in production since2009, with Keith David resuming his role as the main character. The series, like the comic book, contains violent violence, sexual scenes, and copious use of profanity. Spawn by Todd McFarlane was voted fifth on IGN's list of the 100 Greatest Comic Book Cartoons of All Time.
