Soap
Soap is an American sitcom that originally ran on ABC into 1981 by 1977. The series is made as a parody of soap operas, presented like a weekly half-hour prime time comedy. Similar to your soap opera, the show's story comprised melodramatic plot elements like demonic possession alien abduction, murder, and kidnapping and was presented in a serial format.
Back in 2007 it had been recorded as one of Time magazine's"100 Greatest television shows of alltime," and at 2010, the Tates and the Campbells ranked at number 17 in TV Guide's list of"TV's Top Families".
The series was created, written, and also executive produced by Susan Harris, and executive produced by Paul Junger Witt and Tony Thomas. A 90-minute retrospective of the season preceded each season. Two of the retrospectives were made on VHS.
The series aired 85 episodes within the course of four seasons. The last four episodes of the series aired during the first run using ABC as one-hour episodes. These episodes were split in 2, producing 9 3 half-dozen episodes for syndication.
All episodes are available in your region 1 DVD in four box collections that are independent. The series has rerun on TV Land and Comedy Central on local syndicated channels in addition to on cable. It conducted on over-the-air television until December 30th, 2012, on Antenna TV.
