Sherlock Holmes
The first American tv series of Sherlock Holmes adventures culminated in syndication in the fall of 1954. The 3-9 mainly original tales were made by Sheldon Reynolds and filmed by Guild Films in France, starring Ronald Howard as Holmes and Howard Marion Crawford as Watson. Archie Duncan appeared as Inspector Lestrade in episodes. Richard Larke, billed as Kenneth Richards, played Sgt. Wilkins in approximately fifteen episodes. The series' associate producer, Nicole Milinaire, was clearly one of those first women to attain a senior manufacturing role .
