Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares
Gordon Ramsay, a well-known celebrity chef in the United Kingdom, is the star of his own reality cooking show called "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares." The award-winning television show that was broadcast on Channel 4 for the first time in 2004. In each episode, Ramsay goes to a restaurant that is struggling to make ends meet and works as a consultant to assist the proprietor in turning the business around in a single week. After being gone for a few months, Ramsay decides to check on the restaurant and see how well it has been doing business without him. Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares Revisited is a compilation of episodes from series one and two that have been recut and updated with fresh content. In these episodes, Ramsay revisits restaurants at least a year after he has attended to them in the original series. In October2009, Ramsay made the announcement that he will not continue with Kitchen Nightmares after his current contract of four years came to an end in2011. He stated that he would instead focus on the production of his other series. Ramsay's Great British Nightmare was a one-off show that was broadcast on Channel 4 on the 30th of January,2009, as a part of 'The Great British Food Fight,' a two week long series of programs that was related to food. During the course of the show, Ramsay advocated for viewers to begin showing support for local eateries, particularly given the current state of the economy. This show was adapted for the American market by Fox and debuted under the name Kitchen Nightmares on September19, 2007. It is known as Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA when aired in the United Kingdom on Channel 4.
