War & love is an American television sitcom, which aired from September 21, 1992.
Created by Diane English, the show initially starred Susan Dey as Jay Thomas, a Chicago restaurateur, along with Wally Porter as Jack Stein, a sportswriter with.
After the primary season, however, the series was retooled and Dey was dismissed by the producers of the series, claiming that she and Thomas had"no chemistry" together. She was replaced by Annie Potts as Dana Palladino, that became a love interest for Jack and bought Porter's restaurant.
The season featured moments when the fourth wall will break and then handle the camera directly using it as an chance to discuss an emotional catastrophe. This mechanic has been dropped in later seasons.
1 event featured a guest appearance out of Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David as them, they did this a"thank you" to creator Diane English for allowing a brief scene on Murphy-Brown in an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer is cast as the titular character's secretary.
The supporting cast of the show comprised Michael Nouri, Joanna Gleason, Joel Murray, Charles Robinson and Suzie Plakson. John Hancock, who had a recurring role as a judge L.A. Law with Susan Dey previously, depicted bartender Ike for first half of season , before he died of a heart attack from late 1992. His departure has been then written to the series and he was replaced by celebrity Charlie Robinson.
