Lockie Leonard
Based on the books of the same name, Lockie Leonard is an Australian kids' TV series that premiered on the Nine Network on June19, 2007. The location for this show was Albany in Western Australia. Second season episodes were shot in 2009 and premiered in 2010 in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF) is responsible for distributing Lockie Leonard after it was developed by Goalpost Pictures Australia. Jebediah sings the series' anthem, "Worlds Away." On September27,2008, Lockie Leonard made its debut on BBC Two as a part of the Saturday morning children's program TMi, which has aired regularly from 9:00 am to 10:30 am since the 1980s. The first twelve episodes aired on BBC America, then the show went on to run on the CBBC Channel. Sean Keenan, who plays the show's lead character, was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award as TV's Most Outstanding New Talent while the show itself received the 2008 TV Week Logie Award for Best Children's Series. AFI named it the best children's drama series of 2007. Nominated for Best International Children's Drama Series at the 2007 BAFTA Awards.
