Lead Balloon
Lead Balloon is a television series produced by Open Mike Productions for BBC Four. The series was created and is co-written by Pete Sinclair and comedian Jack Dee. It stars Dee a comedian whose entire life is plagued by petty annoyances, like Rick Spleen, disappointments and embarrassments. Sean Power, raquel Cassidy and Tony Gardner also celebrity. The very first set of six episodes was first aired in 2006, with the very first installment. Repeats of this series were run using BBC 2 and BBC H D, bringing it to a larger audience. A set of eight episodes aired on BBC 2 in November 2007, and also a third series started broadcasting in November 2008. A series started ended on 5 July and broadcast on BBC 2 May 2011 on 31.
Comparisons were made by critics into the humor Curb Your Enthusiasm that was successful, and positive comments were made about the personalities, the Eastern housekeeper, especially Magda of Balloon. The first series has been released on DVD. The show's theme song is a cover version of"One Way Road", written by Noel Gallagher and conducted with Paul Weller.
