Lassie

Lassie is a American television series that follows the adventures of a female Rough Collie dog called Lassie and her companions, creature and human. The series was that the production of producer Robert Maxwell and creature trainer Rudd Weatherwax and was televised from September 1-2, 1954, to March 24, 1973. One of the longest-running series on tv chalked seventeen seasons on CBS up before entering syndication. Filmed in white and black, the series transitioned in 1965 to color. The series's first ten seasons follow the adventures in a small farming community of Lassie. Fictional eleven-year-old Jeff Miller , his mum, and his grandfather are the first human companions of Lassie until seven-year-old Timmy Martin and his parents take control from the year old. She finds adventures when Lassie's exploits on the farm end at the season. Lassie finally settles at a children's home for the final two seasons that are syndicated after traveling human leads for a calendar year. Lassie won 2 Emmy awards in its first years and received prefer. Stars Jan Clayton and June Lockhart were nominated for Emmys. Product produced through the show's run included books, other products, toys, clothing, and a Halloween costume. The lifelong sponsor of the show, campbell's Soup, offered two premiums, also spread tens of thousands to fans. There was A episode edited into the feature film Lassie's Great Adventure and released from August 1963. In 1989, the tv series The New Lassie attracted Lassie star Jon Provost straight back once again to tv as Steve McCullough. Selected episodes are released to DVD.
