Kindred: The Embraced

John Leekley Productions and Spelling Television present Kindred: The Embraced. The series aired on Fox on April 2, 1996 and ran for eight episodes before being canceled on May 9, 1996. Detective Frank Kohanek encounters vampires in San Francisco while investigating mobster Julian Luna. Julian is the "prince" of the city and ruler of "The Kindred," five vampire gangs. Julian enforces the laws governing the vampires' "masquerade" to maintain their identities. Julian and Frank create an uneasy alliance as they try to prevent a vampire war while Julian fights with his affections for Caitlin Byrne. Eight episodes are on VHS and DVD.
