Kick
Kick is an Australian television show that was broadcast on SBS television June 2007 on 9. It is set in Brunswick at Melbourne, Australia. The show follows the experiences of crazy twenty something Mi Ki Mavros who's forced to move back in with her Greek-Australian parents on Hope Street after a failed attempt to"make it big". Miki begins are a secretary for suave anglo indian Dr. Joe Mangeshkar, who has a girlfriend named Jan, and things spiral out of control. A neighbourhood team, hence the series title Kick is managed by miki.
The series also follows the experiences of Miki's acquaintances on Hope Street, for example the Salim family, a Lebanese-Australian Muslim family with allies Amen, Osama"Ozzie", Taghred and Layla. Amen is an aspiring businessman with questionable ethics. Osama is going through teenage angst and has a beat on Taghred's friend Tatiana. Taghred is an soccer celebrity. Layla is just a university-student arranged to be wed to Sharif, when Layla falls for fencer Jackie but what changes.
The first season of the series is available on DVD.
