Judge Judy
Judge Judy is an American reality court series presided over by Manhattan Family Court Judge Judith Sheindlin. The series comprises Sheindlin adjudicating modest claims disputes that are real life . All parties must sign contracts, agreeing to mediation. The series is spread by CBS Television Distribution and in first-run syndication.
Judge Judy, which originated on September 16, 1996, allegedly re-vitalized the court series genre. Only two other reality court shows it, The People's Court along with also Jones and Jury. Sheindlin was credited with introducing the"tough" adjudicating approach into the brand new genre, and this has led to several imitators. Both court proves that the seasons, Divorce Court and The People's Court of outnumber Judge Judy, have lasted via countless lives of changing and production arbiters, making Sheindlin's span .
Without winning by 2011, Judge Judy had been nominated 14 consecutive years to get Daytime Emmy Awards. On its own 15th nomination Judge Judy won its first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program on June 14, 2013. It is the , highly-rated court series to win the Emmy.
