In Living Color
In Living Color is a American comedy television series that ran on the Fox Network to May 19, 1994, in April 15, 1990. Brothers Keenen and Damon Wayans made, wrote and starred in the app. The show has been taped before a live studio audience at phase seven on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California at the Fox Television Center and was made by Ivory Way Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The name of the series has been motivated by the NBC announcement of broadcasts getting exhibited"in living color" during the 1950s and 1960s, ahead of main-stream color television. It also indicates the fact that most of the show's throw were black, unlike other sketch comedy shows such as Saturday Night Live whose casts are usually mostly white.
Members of the Wayans family -- Marlon, Shawn and Kim -- had regular functions, whilst brother Dwayne usually appeared as a extra. The show also starred the Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, and David Alan Grier. In Addition, actress Rosie Perez, choreographer Carrie Ann Inaba along with Dancing with the Stars judge and dancer Jennifer-lopez were members of the series's dance troupe The Fly Girls. The series won the Emmy for Outstanding Selection, Music or Comedy Series in 1990.
