Heading Out

Venturing out is actually a sitcom starring comedian and created by Sue Perkins. It was initially broadcast on BBC 2 on 26 February 2013. Heading Out tells the story of Sara, a veterinarian who's given an ultimatum by her own friends to inform her parents that she is homosexual. Perkins had the concept of its sit com before she developed the confidence. Venturing out was commissioned to get the full chain in April 2012 and production began in September. The series wasn't commissioned for a second series.
