Fruits Basket

Orphaned at the age of16, Tohru Honda receives an invitation to reside in the home of her classmate, the handsome lad Sohma Yuki, as well as his cousins, Kyo, aged16, and Shigure, aged 27. In spite of this, these young men and other members of their family (both immediate and extended) are afflicted with a curse: if they are hugged by someone of the opposing gender, they will morph into animals corresponding to the Chinese Zodiac. Sweet Tohru's life is filled with new and exciting experiences on a daily basis as she becomes closer to every member of her enormous family (particularly Yuki and Kyo) through a variety of everyday and outlandish circumstances. The curse that has been placed on the Sohma family, however, is nothing to make light of; in addition to awful brutality, it also brings about heartbreak.
