The story revolves round Haruka Nanase, a boy who's always loved to be chilled in water, and also to float inside it. Before graduating from elementary school, he also participated along with R IN Matsuoka, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, along with his swimming club members at a swimming tournament. The boys each went their separate ways after achieving victory. Time passed, and at the exact middle of their uneventful high school resides Rin challenges and appears Haruka to a game, showing Haruka his overwhelming power. Not wanting it to become this, Haruka, gathers together Makoto and Nagisa once-again and again brings a brand new member named as a way to defeat R IN, Rei Ryugazaki to generate the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club.
