The Holy Grail and the War for It - This is a competition in which seven magicians call upon seven Heroic Spirits to compete for the power of the "Holy Grail," which has the ability to perform a miracle if it is obtained. In that conflict, the conclusion of which had been postponed three times already, the fourth war has now begun once more. The magi entrusted their deepest desire for triumph to the battleground known as "Fuyuki," but among them was a guy who was never seen with anyone else and had no idea what the purpose of his battles was. He fought alone since he did not understand the reasoning behind his actions. His name was Kotomine Kirei. Kirei was confused and unsure of where he stood because he did not understand the direction provided by fate. Why someone with his background was selected to get the Command Seals. Despite this, the course of Kirei's battles brought him into accidental contact with one of his adversaries. That individual's name is Emiya Kiritsugu. A guy who was more ruthless and harsh than anybody else, and who desired the miracle of the Holy Grail.
