Edwardian Farm
Edwardian Farm is a historical documentary TV show in a dozen parts, first shown on BBC 2 . It portrays a set of historians hoping to conduct a farm just like it was done throughout the Edwardian era. It was designed for the BBC by production company Lion Television and filmed at Morwellham Quay. The farming team has been historian Ruth Goodman and archaeologists Alex Langlands and Peter Ginn. David Upshal devised and created the show and led by Stuart Elliott.
The show is actually a development in the previous series Victorian Farm and Victorian Pharmacy which were among BBC Two's biggest hits of 2009 and 2010, garnering audiences of up to 3.8 million each episode. The show was followed by Wartime Farm at September 2012, featuring the team but this time at Hampshire on Manor Farm, living the full twelve months since farmers that were wartime.
A related publication by Goodman, Langlands, and Ginn, additionally titled Edwardian Farm, has been published in 2010 by BBC Books. The show was published on DVD, for sale in regional formats.
