Disco
Disco was a music app which aired in Germany on the ZDF network. It generally aired at 7:30 PM on the very first Saturday of each month, each show running 4-5 minutes. Shows are made. German actor and comedian Ilja Richter hosted the show. Its predecessor on ZDF, 4-3-2-1 Hot & Sweet has been aired between 1966 and 1970, presenters included Ilja Richter along with Suzanne Doucet. As a pop-oriented audience that was younger was generally functioned by disco in comparison to the hit parade of ZDF, also its main rival was Beat-Club, followed Musikladen, both on ARD.
Repeats of Disco have been since 1984 on ZDF Musikkanal, as a result of its closedown at 1989 on 3sat. Since 2004, the digital ZDF Theaterkanal aired repeats of the entire series. In 2007, ZDF Dokukanal started to air re runs, starting with episodes from 1975 and also repeats of the series have been shown at 2008 on hit24.
The show focussed at time of broadcasting current on chart hits, giving about equal air time to German Schlager along with pop music. Although it featured disco hits as long as these were chart relevant, despite its name, it did not particularly concentrate on disco music. .
