Candy Candy

Candy Chocolate is anime collection, manga, and really a Japanese book. The principal personality, Candice"Candy" White Ardlay can be a blond girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long, frizzy hair, dressed in pigtails with bows. Candy Candy first emerged at a pro se novel. The Japanese magazine Nakayoshi became interested when Mizuki combined forces with manga artist Yumiko Igarashi. The show was serialized as a manga series in the journal for four years and won the 1st Kodansha Manga Award for sh?jo at 1977. The story was adapted into an anime series from Toei Animation. There are several Candy Chocolate films which were never published outside of Japan.
