Bottom
Bottom is just a British anarchic sitcom written by and starring comic duo Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson as socially awkward, sexually inexperienced Richie Richard, along with busty alcoholic Eddie Hitler, two social outcasts living on the dole, trapped together in a daily grind at a squalid apartment in Hammersmith, London. Skint, bored and frustrated, they spend being nasty and sadistic to one another, bickering, and . The show ran for three series broadcasting from 1991 - 1995, and was followed closely by five stage show tours across the United Kingdom between 2003 and 1993, and a feature film Guest House Paradiso. The show is known for its nihilistic humor and comedy slapstick that was barbarous.
Back in 2008, Bottom arrived at number 45 at a questionnaire to see"Britain's Best Sitcom" by the BBC. The show is still shown in britain on Gold and Daveand has been dubbed in other languages. Back in Spain the show is referred to as La pareja basura that aired on Canal+. The theme music was supplied by The Bum Notes, a group that featured Edmondson, and is just a cover of"Last Night" from The Mar-Keys.
Plans were created at 2012 for a BBC collection, Hooligan's Island, featuring the Richie and Eddie characters from Bottom. However, that job has been cancelled that October prior to production as Edmondson clarified that he wished to pursue other interests.
