Ishikawa Ango is just really a competent detective that resides due to his job. While investigating a crime scene, then he also still gets shot in the head by the offender that still lurked about 1 day. Ango gets thrown over that line that divides death and life however, though he expires, physician's are in a position to reanimate him and he pulls through. The bullet remains stuck as the operation to eliminate it is very dangerous in his head. Right after, he goes back to work and soon realizes that he's now able to see and talk with the recently deceased.
