Biography is a tv show. It was originally a half-hour filmed string produced for CBS from David Wolper from 1961 to 1964 and hosted by Mike Wallace. The A&E Network it and has produced new episodes. The old version featured ancient figures like Helen Keller and Mark Twain, or entertainment figures like Will Rogers or John Barrymore. Even the A&E series has placed the emphasis on these people as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Plácido Domingo, Freddie Mercury, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Eric Clapton, Pope John Paul II, Gene Tierney, Selena, Diego Rivera, Mao Zedong and Queen Elizabeth II, and literary characters like The Phantom, Super Man, Hamlet, Betty Boop, and Santa Claus. This app wound up devoting enough amounts that in 1999, it split off to an whole network.
