Each episode targets the bear's curiosity and possess moments of slapstick. Bernard never speaks with the exception of sounds that are unintelligible.
Bernard is accompanied in Santa Claus along with the cartoons by a few characters: Eva along with Lloyd that the penguins, Zack that the lizard, Goliat that the chihuahua, Sam the baby, Pilot the dog, Pokey the porcupine.
He gets knocked unconscious or injured by the ending of the incident, thanks to a calamity caused by his bumbling.
Manufactured by the business RG Animation Studios, with all the investment of the French M6, the Spanish BRB Internacional and the Southern Korean broadcaster EBS, the animation style is of a Blend of computer-generated and cel animation. The inventive studio Screen21 writes the tales, the directors are José Luis Ucha Enríquez along with Claudio Biern Lliviria. The music had been written by Oscar Maceda Rodríguez.
Bernard has been nominated for a number of awards, including Best Cartoon series in the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, Mipcom Jr.. Accreditation Fight Award, Prize in Education and Kids at Cartoon & Animation's Dong-A International Festival and has been a finalist at the Annecy International Animation Festival.
