Baywatch is a action drama Show on the Los Angeles County Life Guards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, starring David Hasselhoff. The show was canceled after its first season on NBC, however, survived and became one of their most watched tv shows on the planet. The show ran by 1989 to 1999 in its name and format, aside from the 1990 -- 1991 season, during which it was not in production. From 1999 to 2001, as Baywatch Hawaii, it was famous with large cast overhaul and a putting change.
Baywatch premiered in 1989, but has been canceled after 1 season as it set 73rd out of 103 shows in the evaluations that were seasonal and also because GTG, the studio, sought out of business. Feeling the show still had potential, Hasselhoff revived it for the syndication market in 1991. Hasselhoff has been given the name of Executive Producer for his work on bringing back the show again. The show was hugely successful internationally. Also a reunion film: Baywatch Nights, and the show led to a Spinoff, Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.
Back in 1999, with production costs and the syndication market slowed, the plan was to move the show and launch Baywatch Down Under. A pilot was filmed however, the show was stopped when taxpayers of Avalon put onto powerful understanding, including potential damage to a delicate ecosystem. Pittwater Council resisted all prospective filming. This pilot referred to as a two-part incident of Baywatch.
