At the Movies is a movie review television program produced by Disney ABC Domestic Television in which two film critics shared their own remarks of films. This system aired under various names. Its hosts were WLS-TV and Gene Siskel of WBBM-TV and also the Chicago Tribune and Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times. After Siskel expired in 1999, richard Roeper of those sun times became Ebert partner in 2000. Ebert suspended his looks with various guest hosts for treatment of thyroid cancer, in 2006. Michael Phillips of this Chicago Tribune cohosted. Starting on September 6, 2008, E! Entertainment Television movie critic and writer Ben Lyons and Sirius Satellite Radio host and prior co-host of Present Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz and The Young Turks took over as hosts. On August 5, 2009, it had been announced that Michael Phillips would come back to the show along with New York Times film critic A. O. Scott on September 5, 2009. Throughout its run the show was nominated for prime time Emmy Awards seven days and additionally for Outstanding Information Series. It had been widely known for its"thumbs up/thumbs down" inspection summaries awarded during Siskel's and Ebert's tenures. The show aired in syndication in the USA and on CTV in Canada. The show also aired to the cable system ReelzChannel through the entire week.
