Asylum
Asylum is a comedy series that was displayed on Paramount Comedy Channel in 1996. Place into a mental asylum, it ran into one set of six episodes. Unlike humor shows or traditional sitcoms, it was to some extent a chance by comedians for stand-up routines, mixed using an over all story between much black humor. It is for involving a great numbers of comedians, many who have gone on to work on some of the humor programmes of the ten years, significant. It marked the first cooperation of Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Jessica Stevenson, who would move on to make cult sitcom Spaced. Many of the characters titles were just like the ones of those actors that portrayed them.
David Devant & His Spirit Wife would be the"house band" for the chain, performing segments in every episode, from their first record, Work, Lovelife, Miscellaneous. The leadin track"Ginger" functioned as the programme's name.
The series has not yet been published on DVD. The episodes that are entire are all viewable on Norman Lovett's web site.
