Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Alfred Hitchcock is the host of the anthology television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which airs on American television. The show had dramatic episodes as well as intrigues and puzzles. Hitchcock had already been working as a film director for more than three decades when his television show made its debut on October 2, 1955. Alfred Hitchcock Presents was selected as one of "Time's 100 Best TV Shows of All Time" by the publication Time. In order to capitalize on the popularity of the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, a collection of literary anthologies has been published under the same name. Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories They Wouldn't Let Me Do on TV was the title of one volume that was devoted to stories that censors wouldn't allow to be adapted for the television series; however, in the end, several of the stories collected were adapted. Another volume was titled Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories They Wouldn't Let Me Do on Film.
