6teen

6teen is a Canadian animated sitcom that premiered on Teletoon in 2004. 6teen debuted on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and was cancelled on May 13, 2006. 6teen aired in reruns on The N from December26, 2005 to July28,2006, and again as a 24-hour channel on The N from December31, 2007 until June21, 2008. After its launch on October23,2008, 6teen was broadcast on Cartoon Network in the United States. 6teen had frequent weekly airings on Cartoon Network since its premiere on October23,2008, but was dropped from the schedule in mid-November 2009. The show then returned in mid-February 2010 with numerous airings before being withdrawn once more after its series finale on June21, 2010. 6teen made a one-month return to Cartoon Network in January2011, but was then deleted, along with other cancelled programs, due to a scheduling revamp. Popgirl occasionally broadcasts it. Brian Melo performed an acoustic rendition of the theme song in the series finale, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2." Sixteen aired 93 episodes in all. Both Canada and the United States have released DVD and iTunes releases. Despite the fact that the show was cancelled, creators Pertsch and McGillis expressed interest in a two-hour reunion telemovie or a feature film. It is not currently on Cartoon Network's schedule, however episodes are available in some places through Cartoon Network on Demand. 6teen returned to Teletoon with reruns on January3,2011, airing weekend mornings at 3:00 a.m. EST and lately returning to its former weekday schedule at 7:00 p.m. EST. The show is also accessible on Netflix in the United States and the United Kingdom.
