It aired on the Fox Network and in first run syndication. The series focuses on a group of undercover police detectives with young appearances who investigate crimes in high schools, colleges, and other venues frequented by adolescents. Cannell Productions, and 20th Century Fox Television. It was made by Patrick Hasburgh and Stephen J. Cannell. Hasburgh, Cannell, Steve Beers, and Bill Nuss were all executive producers. Depp found this annoying, but he had to keep working on the show because it was in his contract. He was paid $45,000 per episode. After the fourth season, he was finally let out of his contract. For the character of Dennis Booker, a spin-off show called Booker was made. It ran for one season, from September 1989 to June 1990.
