War and Peace, Part II: Natasha Rostova

At the end of 1809, Natasha attends her first ball. Andrei intends to wed her and falls deeply in love with her, but her dad demands that they wait patiently. The prince travels abroad, and Natasha yearns to get him. But she forgets of Andrei and then meets Anatol Kuragin. At the eleventh hour, she moans and abandons her plans to elope with Anatol. This is heard of by bolkonsky and declares their betrothal is over. Pierre, trying to calm her downdeclares she enjoys her.
