Toto the Hero

Thomas and Alfred were born around the same time, and a fire in the nursery forced nurses to rush to save the babies. Because he believes he deserved Alfred's good fortune in being born into a wealthy family, Thomas imagines that he and Alfred were switched at birth, and he can't help but think that his misery should have been Alfred's, from the loss of his sister to his inability to have a relationship with Evelyne. So, as his life is coming to an end, he devises a plan of retaliation against his bitter enemy, his lifelong adversary, the man who stole his existence.
