The Wilby Conspiracy

Shack Twala has spent ten years in prison for nationalist activities when the South African Supreme Court orders his freedom, but he is almost immediately on the run following a run-in with the police. He travels to Capetown, aided by his lawyer Rina Van Niekirk and visiting British engineer Jim Keogh, in the hopes of recovering a hoard of diamonds designed to support revolutionary activities that he had entrusted to a dentist before his arrest. Major Horn of the South African State Security Bureau follows them along the way, and it becomes clear that he has no intention of capturing them until they reach their goal.
