The Tuskegee Airmen

Throughout the Second World War, there is a special project Initiated from the United States Army Air Corps to Incorporate African American pilots in the Fighter Pilot System. Known as the"Tuskegee Airman" for its name of the airbase of which these were trained, these men were forced to constantly survive harassment, bias, and much behindthescenes politics before eventually they were able to prove themselves in conflict.
