July 4, ancient Korea, 1762. The Crown Prince Hyojang, posthumously named son of King Yeongjo of Joseon, Sado, is accused of treason. The king asks him to commit suicide, however, his vassals that are nearest avert it, or so the king orders the prince to get within a rice chest, where he suffers deprivation of water and food.
