The Sunset Limited

Based on the play of the same name by Pulitzer Prize Winner Cormac McCarthy, this searing drama mixes comedy and pathos while examining the association between strangers who are attracted by desperate conditions. Set in a New York tenement apartment, the story focuses on two completely different men - a deeply religious black ex con who thwarts the suicide effort of an asocial white faculty professor who tried to throw himself in front of an oncoming subway train,'The Sun Set Limited.' Whilst the sole tries to attach to some spiritual, fair and emotional stage, the other remains loyal in his hard-earned despair. Locked at a philosophical debate, both passionately defend their credos and try to convert the other.
