The Shootout

The early-1990s action comedy The Shootout stars numerous Hong Kong film stars. Fai, played by popstar Aaron Kwok, is a young, inexperienced cop who unintentionally arrests a thief. Elvis Tsui, the gang's cruel leader, infiltrates Police HQ to kill Fai! Lau (Sean Lau Ching Wan) and Ma (Leung Ka Yan) help the police catch the criminals. Min (Fennie Yuen), Fai's club singer crush and the chief bad guy's girlfriend, assists them. The police gather for a violent finish with good police work and luck. The Shootout's dynamic cast and quick-witted humour make it engaging.
