The Sanctity of Space
Seventy-five years after Brad Washburn, one of the greatest aerial mountain photographers of all time, first photographed Alaska's Denali Mountain from an open door of an airplane, climbing buddies Renan Ozturk, Freddie Wilkinson, and Zack Smith look at some of his mountain photographs and come up with this crazy idea. Rather of going up, their dream is to slide sideways — across the Moose's Tooth massif, one of the range's most intimidating peaks. It's a novel method to explore the same terrain Washburn first discovered. As the gang suffers harsh circumstances, deteriorating ropes, and constant rockfall, their goal to be the first to complete the daring line becomes an obsession. When Renan suffers a near-fatal brain injury, all three partners are forced to decide what is most important to them.
