The Naked Spur

Ben Vandergroat, a murderer, has been the subject of Howard Kemp's long-term pursuit. Together with prospector Jesse Tate and ex-Union soldier Roy Anderson, he ventures into the Colorado Rockies. They agree to help for a modest charge thinking Kemp is the sheriff. When they apprehend Vandergroat, he informs them that Kemp is after a $5,000 bounty. The uneasy alliance moves toward Kansas as Vandergroat attempts to turn them against one another when they demand equal shares.
