The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother's Hunt for Justice tells the story of Mari Gilbert's search for the truth behind what took place to her little girl Shannan, an at some point companion that disappeared after a 'day' on Long Island. After Shannan (Katharine Isabelle, Hannibal) stops working to find house, her mom Mari (Kim Delaney) knows something is awfully wrong. Pleading to authorities to take her problems seriously, she maintains pressing the police for answers. Mari's persistence that her daughter not be overlooked ultimately causes a scary hidden on Long Island for greater than a decade-- 19 bodies of young women uncovered buried in superficial graves along Ocean Parkway in the location of Jones Coastline State Park.
